Are these guys FINALLY going to get the recognition that they deserve?!? Love them. Playing in loop in the car. Stay The Night is the stand out song for me. Dying to see them live.

The best of British music from Chrissie Rhodes and Ben Earle. Another excellent album. Ok I’m a resident of Bedfordshire close to the Hertfordshire border so I’m more proud of this country duo than most. Sliánte
  • Amazing

Absolutely love this album, there isn’t a bad song on it! Sleepwalk is a great song, with perfect harmonies. It’s edging more towards pop but still a great set of songs
  • Country Heaven

Absolutely love this album. Loving Stay the Night (thank you Ed Sheeran!) and Accidentally on Purpose. My favourite has got to be Sleepwalk. Such a beautiful song with gorgeous lyrics, melody and harmonies. I definitely recommend this gem of a record!
  • Missing something for me.

I think The Shires are great. I loved their first album, mixing the pop melodic sounds of Lady A with the raw emotion of The Civil Wars. Brave truly put UK country on the map. I remember when I first heard Brave, it gave me goosebumps. Their second album (my universe) wasn’t as strong as their first record but it still had its moments. Notably Daddies little girl and other people’s things. This new record has left me feeling a little cold. I’ve listened twice now and I’m rather disappointed. Ever so slowly they seem to have become more pop saccharin, with what seems to be a collection of average country pop tunes. Something is missing from AOP. Yes it has a few solid tunes but it lacks the heart and edge of Brave. I hope their fourth album will see them dig deep and remember what they were back when they were less polished, thoughtful and spine tingling. This new record is an OK country pop album. Maybe save yourself sometime and just listen to Loving you too long and strangers. The rest are simply forgettable. Sorry if you read this Crissie and Ben.
  • Great Third Album

From first play I can already say that I think this will be my album of the summer. Some great tracks. It's a shame they do not get more airplay on mainstream radio.
