Reviews

  • A real miss

Hard to believe this is the same band that wrote Sempiternal and performed at the Royal Albert Hall with a full orchestra. I get they’re trying something different it just really really doesn’t work for me. It feels lyrically pretty pathetic compared to their other albums and has been the most disappointing album I think I’ve ever bought. Pretty gutted really. Definitely couldn’t recommend it

Used to be my favourite band but now I’d rather listen to Doris by suicide silence on repeat, because at least when they died they didn’t kill themselves in the name of pop music.

A couple of good songs but after that the album is a car crash. Just like Paramore's last album, a couple of goods songs but then the rest is just awful. Too many bands are going in this direction and it is very sad. If you had more songs like wonderful life and mantra on this album then it would be 100 times better.

Must be said its pretty average? I get bands evolve their sound but this is too far from what bring me the horizon was, bitterly disappointed

BMTH are evolving. Listed with open ears and an open mind “ cos it’s not heavy metal”. Well done boys 🖤🤘🏻
  • This album is quite good actually...

Listened the first time and wasn't a fan apart from two songs, but then I gave it a proper listen and it's actually very good. I love the album. It has a mix of heavier songs so it's not the worst.
  • This is not rock

BMTH have had a lot of different sounds; they blew-up from metalcore, but they have always improved. This is also the case with this album. It still is distinctly a BMTH album, despite these other bad reviews, that it doesn’t sound like BMTH. It is also very good. I was listening to Lil Skies all day yesterday, but bought this, today, and it’s been on repeat; as I said in the title, it is just great music! Highly recommend, can’t place it in a genre other than ‘BMTH’ honestly. Have a listen!!! :)

Been a fan for eight years and seeing the band change always worried me but the new music is really good and it needs to be given a chance.
