This is the first whole album I've bought from itunes, all for nostalgia reasons. I played it a lot when I worked in a music library, and it takes mne back to those particular times, inculiding breaking up with a b/f, but what the hell. its good mellow background music, and as the 80's are being revamped now, perhaps it'll even get to be cool again!

Does anyone agree that one of Jan's best tracks, Flashback should be on here ?

For me this album encaptulates the whole ambience and vibe of Miami and the Carribean in the eighties.
  • Pure melodic genius!

I have to admit that the above statement mostly refers to the first track (Crockett's Theme), but this tune brings such good memories! I have recently started to notice the influence of this kind of music in my own work (which you can hear on iTunes BTW). I miss the 80s!

Music is all about memories and this album is no exception, takes me straight back home as a 10 year old staying up to watch Miami Vice. Great!!!, wont win you any cool awards though. Enjoy Kev

Anyone, who loves the 80's will love this album! And even if you don't like the good ol' eighties, then this will change your mind for sure! I got it from Amazon in a classic CD version (in fact in this particular track line-up, which is the UK edition, which includes "Chancer" and "CT's" 9mm Mix by Il Nitro, unlike the US one)... CT is a hit, no doubt..."Theresa" is also extremely mellow...Others are variable in the sense of style, but definitely not quality! However, the 9mm Mix could have been better...Sadly the CT - EP is not available on ITMS - there is a fabulous 12'' Extended by Francois Kevorkian on it, which is no worse than the original...But, anyway, well done ITMS, keep the Jan Hammer collection up....try getting those rare tracks on!
