  • Unparalleled Amazing Album

Ignore listening to the stand alone released singles and the radio play cliche. Purple Rain was meant to be listened as an album. One track prepares you for the next. Symbology, energy, excitement and raw talent vibrates your brain and soul through each puzzling track. Hidden meanings and screams of animalistic urges keep you coming back for more. Edging your brain. This was recorded in 1983. Yet artists in every year since have used Purple Rain as reference as the height of authenticity. Enjoy!

  • Superlative intro….

Even though I have never actually got round to buying a Prince CD I really must say that the intro to When Doves Cry must be quite possibly the greatest intro of all time. I lie, I did have the 7” single when it came out and literally wore out the groove of the first 12 seconds, until the record was unplayable! Incidentally I can’t help thinking of Lenny Henry’s parody every time I hear it. Amazing album and R.I.P. to an amazingly talented, forward thinking influential artist. Still can’t believe that 1999 was released in 1982, when it sounds like it came out ten years later.
