Absolutely breathless display of feel for the blues, brilliant combination of gorgeous girl, beautiful voice & amazing Tele-tone. First album I went & bought in person for a long time. Now for the first gig.

Phenomenal album.. just sat and listened to it straight through and then did it again. Every track is spot on.
  • Dynamite Debut!!

Absolutely brilliant debut album, Joanne has the talent to succeed in a male dominated area and then some! I saw her live just after this album came out, She blew me and my friend away! He ordered the album that night, She signed my copy!! Lovely girl! You can't believe it when you see this pretty blonde on stage that she isn't some bimbo from the X factor [God forbid] She plugs in her instrument and takes it to within an inch of it's life! Her vocals are astounding for someone so young, The guitar thrashing live is close to some of the best i've seen [Joe Bonamassa is looking over his shoulder] Take a listen to Blackest Day the solos on that track alone are worth the price of the admission! Buy this album and make this girl a star! Buy her second album too! It's just as good.
  • This White Sugar is good for you

What an amazing discovery. Thank you iTunes for drawing her to my attention. Joanne Shaw Taylor is a fabulous blues singer and guitarist. Apparently she is just 23 and from Birmingham (England, that is). This album packs a punch and her voice is so good. Listen to the heavy bluesy guitar too. Hard to believe this is a Brit album. Check it out.
  • Amazing ..

I have a thing for female singers who sound like this - think Jopin, Tedeschi etc and you are on the right tracks. What an amazing album.
  • Female Stevie Ray ?

Great blues album from a very talented lady who reminds me of the great stevie ray in her fantastic guitar work!
  • Awesome

It's great to see a non-seasick steve album in the blues section that is actually a blues album! Im Fed up of the crap that tried to pass as blues so really happy I stumbled upon this. She's up there with seasick I'm my opinion; however, a lot of it is down to the awesome guitar players she has in the band too.
  • White Hot...

Wow!! Where did she come from? I've just come across this album on i tunes and its superb, and I mean every track. Is it just me or has anybody else heard of her? and she's British too. We could do with a biog i tunes. Buy this before everyone else catches on and the price goes up.
