I bought this album back in the summer of 2004 when I was 18 and when The Killers were relatively unknown. 3 months later I was at University and Hot Fuss was blasting out of everyone dorm (well, it certainly seemed like that). No night out would be complete without singing your drunken heart out to Somebody Told Me and no break up wasn't helped by Mr Brightside. There is not a single track on this album that isn't great. It's one of the last albums I bought and listened to in its entirety. 2004 was a pretty excellent year for music (Snow Patrol's Final Straw, Maroon 5's Songs About Jane, Franz Ferdinand), but this album was absolutely the best. Buy it. You will not regret it.

A future classic. Flawless, effortlessly fun and absolutely unforgettable. It’s a massive shame that everything they’ve put out since has just never been this fun or entertaining. Top Tracks: Jenny Was A Friend of Mine, Mr. Brightside (goes without saying), Smile Like You Mean It and On Top.

This album is amazing and I could finish the review there and that would be enough for me but there are a few things to say about this album and that it is all killer (no pun intened) and no filler and you could tell how hard they had to work to create this monster of an album. From the brilliant Jenny was a friend of mine at the start this does not fail to disapoint right through to the end with everything will be alright. Without a shadow of a doubt mr brightside teals the show to provide a excellent album. All of this is coming from someone that listens to heavy stuff like bring me the horizion and asking alexandria and I think that this album is great and if you don't know any of the songs you need to get checked out as I don't know what is wrong without you. You are you still doing reading this download it, buy or borrow it! I don't care get this album one way or another you wont regret it.
