Blues rock at it's finest
By Dan Deakins
A classic Bonamassa album. Harder rock songs like One of These Days and Dirt in my Pocket and softer acoustic numbers like Around the Bend make this album one of the finests pieces of music i have ever listened to. I am new to Joe's music and listening to this i wish i had found it sooner! His vocals have definitely improved too.

All round great blues artistry, with a vocal range to match, Cool.
If there has ever been a cooler song, I have'nt heard it. Brilliant.

As good as it gets !
Still His Best
I'm proud to own all of Joe's solo albums. It's probably not fair to compare his solo work with that of Black Country Communion, his latest band, because they release quite different products. That said, I don't mind admitting that I much prefer the solo releases. And of them all, this album just contains so many memorable songs that it is easily my favourite.
The first six tracks are superb, with a beautiful blend of tempos, consistently jaw-dropping guitar work and a great voice. I know Joe's vocals receive criticism from some quarters, but for me they work perfectly in the context of blues rock. And then hidden away towards the end, we get the golden nugget that is 'Richmond'. Wonderful. Buy it - you'll love it.
Modern Blues Classic
Much of this album will be a class act in JB laying down more slick work with him developing his voice at the same time.
The title track will become an all time Blues classic. Modern take on a tried and tested formula, but he brings such atmosphere into this piece it stands out. Get it if nothing else for this track.
