  • Failed wannabe opera singer

    By Pichincha
Just because he couldn't hack it, he ranted against opera saying it was pretentious and boring. Have you heard the pretentious tosh he expounds when interviewed, stomach churning eeh by gum, down to't pit northern bloke? Is he after Katherine Jenkins' crown as greatest opera singer failure of all time? Give me Russell Watson any day.
  • Simply brilliant!!!

Incredible, moving, divine. How can one man be so gifted.
  • Exceptional value and quality

Alfie Boe is absolutely fantastic, even though he has started to gain plaudits for his performance, voice and standing in his profession, he is still, in my view, under appreciated as probably one of the best of his time. The CD is great value and captures the emotion in his voice. It is a must buy for theatre fans and a must see, make the time if you can.
  • I like it, I like it a lot!

    By Kane Taylor
I like this album but much to my dismay when I listened to all the songs. All but one or two were similarly pitched and with roughly the same tempo. People don't want a load of soppy songs Alfie! Put a few energetic songs in there to spice it up a bit, god, not even energetic they just have to be powerful! All I'm saying is that if people wanted to listen to the same thing over and over and over again, then I doubt they would pay £5.00 for it!

First heard Alfie Boe on Les Miserables, then followed his music and purchased this album, every track is great, this guy has a fabulous voice - strength and character. Reccommended
  • Wow

I love this album. I first saw Alfie Boe on the Royal Variety Performance in Les Mis on tv and thought his voice was lovely. Such amazing qualities to his voice! Come what may with Kerry Ellis is lovely! If you are a lover of musicals or classical music... this is definitely one for you!! :)
  • Incredible!!

Ok, I might be biased considering i am slightly in love with this man after watching the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert (which was breath taking) but this album is truly incredible! There is a great choice of songs, I love all of them!! I can't believe that he did a duet with Kerry Ellis, who is like my favourite West End star to a song which is ultimately from the best film ever (yummy Ewan McGregor!!!). And his duet with Matt Lucas is fantastic, especially that last note! I just love it... and him!
  • Alfie Boe; I could marry this man.

Just gorgeous. Stunning. Beautiful. I could go on. It's not often that you get a voice as wonderful as this - anyone who doesn't appreciate this miraculous talent is obviously ignorant of real music. And the "On The Street Where You Live" cover is just genius. Well done Alfie, you should be proud!
