  • beth and joe - a marriage of music

if you enjoy a woman with a good raw blues voice (think Janis Joplin if you are old enough) accompanied by the brilliant guitar playing of joe bonamassa then buy this album. it is phenomenal and that is not an understatment. this album is a marriage made in heaven believe me. i hope joe and beth can collaborate more.

Ive always been amazed by Joe Bonamassa's guitar playing and voice. But I agree with Ian I really think hes gone back to the kind of stuff he may have listened to as a kid and this album is all the better for it. The combination of his guitar and Beth Harts voice quite literally made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Great album Cheers Joe

I can't stop playing this album, it seems to get better each time I hear it, which is the sign of a great album. Match made in blues heaven and wow what a voice.

Like many I am suspicious of albums with 5 star ratings. They are usually written by die hard fans. I like to think I am objective and not easy to please. However this album has blown my socks off. Yes, some of the riffs might be a bit cliched and some melodies remind me of other things. It's not the most original material you will ever hear either. Forget that though. Crank up the volume and fall into the wonderful sound-scape that just takes you to another place and leaves you with a big cheesy grin!

Never heard of Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart until I downloaded a few songs yesterday I couldn't stop playing them, what a really good album blues isn't something I usually buy I only know a few well known blues artists, I was surprised I liked it as much as I did, Usually I buy soul & R&B mostly a few others vocal pop reggae.

i bought this album not knowing alot about either artist as i am quite a newbie when it comes to blues music, i have a few things from gary moore (RIP) and sir BB King, and another album of joe bonamassa, which is also brilliant. After listening to this album obsessively i feel its one of my favorites in my collection. Its outstanding, Joe beautiful melodic and distinctive guitar style accompanies Beth Harts gritty, powerful vocals. She definitely has a set of pipes on her.
