  • Absolutely Perfect

I can’t describe this album in too many words, perfect, outstanding, it really is sheer musical genius. The lyricist Veet Baljit delivers superb verses and choruses (on the songs he wrote), Diljit brilliantly brings the words to life through his vocal instrument and Tru-Skool truly schooled (see what I did there) his doubters on his real capabilities. For years we’ve been promised a B2B 2 but I don’t think it will happen anytime soon (blame Tru-Skool’s ego for that one). If it does ever come to fruition I will be one of the first in line for it. It’s a huge credit to Tru-Skool that after this album Diljit sky rocketed onwards and upwards on the ladder to success and Tru-Skool has clearly been downhill ever since. Remember the atrocious - not as great as you expected them to be: Baaghi Tera Yaar/Pomp Pomp/Jatt Da Flag/Bhabieh and the absolutely worst of the bunch One Time 4 Ya Mind. Yet one glimmer of hope shined on that pile of rubbish, El Sueno. Tru-Skool stepped out of his comfort zone and burst out of the box that had been packaged by his sausage swallowing compadres and delivered an awe inspiring song that he had to be talked into doing by someone who was actually really successful in the industry, Diljit. Diljit has made songs for the masses and I really mean the masses, he goes on world tours he is an international punjabi superstar an actual gem of India, his launching pad was the Tru-Skool brainchild Back 2 Basics. Diljit now knows what does, could, should and would work. I get that since Back 2 Basics Diljit has made a lot of songs but his batting average blows Tru-Skools releases since Back 2 Basics out of the water, no argument to be had there. My point is that Tru-Skool, instead of letting Dhami Chamcheawala 🥄🥄🥄🥄🥂 and co tell you what they want to hear and you should do this and you should do that and this sounds PHAT (that word hasn’t been used since your clothes were originally on sale Dhami Chamcheawala) gran Diljit and Veet sit down in a room together for 2-4 hours a day, for 2 weeks and get an 8-10 track album started. Take back the title of the best music producer the UK has to offer, you have earned and deserve it. Just my 2 cents
