  • Clearly an exception...

By metachrome, the lead track IS the best track. Finito. I never quite had Clouds Across the Moon on any tape or recording at the time. I only ever heard it in fleeting moments: switching channels whilst driving, shuffling past a beach bar, someone else's car stereo. It's a keeper.
  • A short guide to Rah Band

    By Deanjw
This a concise beginning to enjoy the music of the Rah Band. It quickly skims through over 30 years of singles and albums, from their 'glam rock' 70's, to early 80's funk into electronic late 80's. Unfortunately, the album misses out the 90's and later single releases however, do not despair, there is hope on the horizon, there should be a new best of coming soon and also the original studio albums should see a re-release soon. This album is a good insight and if you like it is worth hunting out the other CD's that are easily available. My favourite band of all time. Mr Hewson esq, is a genius.
  • Soundtrack to the 70s/80s

    By Notional67
Rah Band (Rah standing for Richard Anthony Hewson, a big-time producer in those days) produced some outstanding instrumental stuff which perfectly captured the up-beat spirit of the late 70s and early 80s. Though never quite surpassing sales of their big 70s hit, The Crunch, they went on to record some sharp jazz-funk around the time of Falcon and Slide (famousish as the backing music for Tony Blackburn's Radio 1 Top 40 Sunday-evening countdown). They drifted after that, getting progressively dafter, and adding entirely dubious and rather drippy vocals. But there are some real gems on this album from the earlier period. This album and its predcessors have been unavailable for ages, often reaching ridiculous prices on e-bay; so it's fantastic and unexpected to see it on i-Tunes.

This is a great introduction to The RAH Band for fans who only know them from their 'Clouds Across The Moon' single in 1985.But if you really want to hear The RAH Band at their very, very best then try and get hold of their 1985 album ''MYSTERY'' on RCA records,a truly fantastic album which deserves to be on itunes basically because only a few copies were ever pressed on CD and you'll be lucky to get a copy for less than £150!!!! • At Last

I 2 ave been waiting for ages for this album to arrive, at a realistic price. What funk - never been surpassed, the vocals are dreamy! I'm over the moon!
  • I don't believe it!!!

    By funky anorak
Having scoured the record shops for years searching for a Rah Band retrospective, I ended up paying £50 on the internet for a copy of this album! Only to now find it on itunes for £7.99. Jazz Funk at its best with the odd slice of cheese (see 'Clouds across the Moon') but still a great reminder of dance floor days from '77-85.
  • Fantastic memories!
